NAMI stands for “National Alliance on Mental Illness”. NAMI of Coastal Virginia is a non-profit, grass-roots organization and the voice for those affected by mental health conditions. They spend their resources advocating at the local, state, and national levels to eradicate stigma that surrounds mental health. They are committed to improving the lives of those with a mental health condition and their families by providing free support groups, free classes, educational programs, and community outreach.
